Nate Greer leads Blue Ox Transport, Inc., with over 11 years of experience in logistics and transportation. Under his guidance, the company prioritizes safety and efficiency, ensuring exceptional service for FedEx Ground. Nate is dedicated to cultivating a collaborative environment, believing that a strong team is vital for long-term success.

Mike Johnson

Operations Manager

As a dedicated Operations Manager at Blue Ox Transport, Dang brings over seven years of driving experience and leadership skills. Passionate about the outdoors, he enjoys fishing trips with his family. With a supportive wife and two sons, he fosters teamwork and communication, creating a positive environment for success at work.

Nate Greer

Founder & President, Blue Ox Transport, Inc.

Nate Greer’s journey in trucking began where every great story starts — on the road. With a lifelong passion for the industry and a drive to build something lasting, Nate founded Blue Ox Transport, Inc. in 2014 under its original name, Paul Bunyan Trucking LLC. What began as a one-man operation hauling refrigerated freight across the country quickly grew into a small but respected fleet known for reliability, professionalism, and exceptional service.

As the business expanded, Nate recognized that true success wasn’t measured by miles driven, but by the quality of life for the people behind the wheel. In 2020, he made a pivotal decision to transition from long-haul operations to a home-daily model by partnering with FedEx Ground. That move reflected his belief that skilled drivers deserve both career growth and time with their families — and it became the foundation for the company’s evolution.

Under Nate’s leadership, Blue Ox Transport has developed into a trusted FedEx Ground linehaul partner, operating a fully company-owned fleet built on consistency, safety, and teamwork. His hands-on approach, industry experience, and commitment to doing things the right way have earned Blue Ox a reputation as a dependable and people-first carrier. 

Looking ahead, Nate envisions Blue Ox Transport growing into a 150-plus-truck fleet over the next decade — not just in size, but in impact. His goal is to build a company that sets the standard for what a modern, people-first carrier can be: one where drivers are proud of the logo on their trucks, customers trust every load, and success is measured as much by the strength of the team as by the miles on the road.

Mike Johnson​

Operations Manager

Mike Johnson joined Blue Ox Transport in 2021, bringing unparalleled loyalty and dedication to his role as Operations Manager. As a committed leader, Mike is always learning and remains open-minded, constantly seeking innovative ways to improve processes and performance. His relentless drive to better himself and his team sets him apart, as he works harder than anyone, ensuring every task is completed to his exacting standards.

A proud husband and father, Mike finds deep fulfillment in his family life, which fuels his passion for success both personally and professionally. In his role, he is devoted to leading his team toward achieving their goals while fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys fishing, golfing, and playing hockey, activities that keep him energized and bring balance to his life. These hobbies inspire a fresh perspective, which he channels into his leadership approach.

Dang Vue

Overnight Operations Manager

Dang Vue joined Blue Ox Transport in 2022 as a Class A Driver, quickly demonstrating his dedication and leadership potential. His commitment to excellence led to his promotion to Overnight Operations Supervisor in 2023, followed by another well-earned promotion to Operations Assistant Manager in late 2024. With over seven years of experience in the transportation industry, Dang brings a wealth of expertise and a hands-on approach to fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

A devoted husband and father of two sons, Dang finds balance and inspiration in his family life. His passion for the outdoors shines through in fishing trips with his loved ones, which recharge his energy and perspective. This enthusiasm carries into his professional role, where he cultivates a positive atmosphere built on teamwork, open communication, and mutual support.

Dang is committed to continuous improvement, consistently seeking ways to enhance processes and elevate team performance. His approachable leadership style, proven track record, and unwavering dedication to excellence make him a cornerstone of Blue Ox Transport, inspiring those around him to achieve their best and contribute to the company’s ongoing success.

Dan Mish

Rochester Supervisor

Dan Mish joined Blue Ox Transport in July 2023 as a Class A Driver at our Stewartville, MN location, bringing 22 years of driving experience and a deep understanding of the transportation industry. His expertise, including seven years as an owner-operator, and his strong foundation in vehicle maintenance quickly distinguished him as a valuable asset. Recognizing his dedication and knowledge, Blue Ox promoted Dan to the Stewartville Driver Lead position, where he now manages a small team and strengthens relationships with FedEx management.

A committed leader, Dan fosters a collaborative and efficient work environment, leveraging his extensive industry experience to guide his team toward success. His hands-on approach and passion for excellence ensure operational excellence and high standards in every aspect of his role.

Outside of work, Dan’s disciplined and focused mindset carries into his personal life, where he continues to bring the same level of commitment and professionalism. As the Stewartville Driver Lead, Dan is dedicated to driving team performance, building strong partnerships, and contributing to Blue Ox Transport’s ongoing success.

 

Erin Burns

Human Resource Manager

Erin Burns brings over 15 years of strategic Human Resources leadership to Blue Ox Transport, combining deep expertise in talent development, organizational design, and leadership coaching. With a proven track record of aligning people strategy with business growth, she plays a vital role in building a culture where every team member can thrive.

Before joining Blue Ox Transport, Erin led HR operations for organizations ranging from fast-growth startups to established multi-state businesses. At her previous company, she guided talent expansion from a startup team of 11 to a mid-sized organization of over 150 employees, developing HR infrastructure and leadership programs that supported sustainable growth. Prior to that, she served as a Human Resources Director overseeing more than 450 employees worldwide.

A graduate of St. Cloud State University and a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Erin is known for her hands-on approach, her ability to connect with people at every level, and her commitment to fostering safety, integrity, and teamwork — the same values that drive Blue Ox Transport’s success.

When she’s not working, Erin can be found cheering on her kids at their sporting events, relaxing at the lake, or enjoying a good book.
